A Spider's Gift

This Halloween season, Krohn Conservatory transforms into a spider-themed wonderland inspired by Ukrainian Christmas folklore. Families can wander through the conservatory following shimmering silver webs to spot friendly spiders tucked among the trees and colorful poinsettias. The display celebrates the traditional belief that spiders bring good luck and fortune to homes and gardens. Beyond the festive decorations, this experience teaches kids about the real benefits spiders provide. Visitors will discover how these creatures help control pests and maintain healthy ecosystems both indoors and outside. It's a charming way to shift perspective on spiders and enjoy the conservatory's holiday décor all in one visit. Perfect for families looking for an educational yet playful seasonal activity.
