All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914

This musical event brings to life one of history's most remarkable moments—when soldiers from opposing sides during World War I put down their weapons on Christmas and met as human beings. Through a combination of music and firsthand accounts from the men who experienced it, the performance captures the genuine camaraderie and hope that emerged from the chaos of war. It's a moving way to experience this true story during the holiday season. The performance runs about an hour and fifteen minutes without an intermission, making it manageable for families with younger children. It's recommended for ages ten and up, though younger children may attend with parental guidance. Tickets and additional information are available through vanguardmke.com/tickets, or you can reach out to info@vanguardmke.com/tickets with any questions. This has become a meaningful addition to Milwaukee's holiday traditions.
