American Revolution: 60 Years War for Ohio

Living history exhibit about the American Revolution at Fort Meigs.

Step back in time at this immersive two-day living history event where hundreds of re-enactors from across the US and Canada bring the American Revolution to life. You'll experience authentic military demonstrations, watch dramatic battle reenactments, and witness period activities like colonial farming, textile production, and traditional bread baking. Kids can participate in hands-on activities while live fife and drum music fills the air, and you can even explore a reconstructed historic tavern. The event runs both Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., giving your family flexibility to attend one or both days. Admission is affordable—adults pay $15, seniors (60+) are $13, students $10, and children 5 and under get in free. Fort Meigs members and Ohio History Connection members receive discounts. This is perfect for families interested in history or looking for an engaging outdoor activity that educates while entertaining kids of various ages.
