Art in the Park

Your kids will have a blast diving into hands-on artistic exploration at this outdoor event. The focus is on process art—the fun of creating and experimenting rather than achieving a perfect final product—so messy is encouraged! Kids ages 6–10 are the target audience, though the creative nature of the activity could appeal to other ages as well. To top it off, Kona Ice will be on hand serving up cold treats for everyone to enjoy. The program runs for one hour at the library's outdoor space. If you're bringing a group of more than five children, just call ahead to let the library know. The outdoor setting and relaxed, exploratory approach make this a great low-pressure way for kids to express themselves through art while getting to know the library's outdoor grounds.
