Art Loop: Ohio Poetry Day Takeover

Celebrate poetry in Ohio at this special takeover event bringing together poets, writers, and enthusiasts for an afternoon of shared appreciation. You'll experience readings from visiting poets as well as Ohio's newly appointed Poet Laureate and several former Laureates. Beyond the readings, the event includes interactive poetry-themed activities, word games, puzzles, vintage typewriters, and a pop-up poetry bookstore where you can browse and purchase titles. This marks the 90th annual Ohio Poetry Day, with Toledo hosting the celebration this year in partnership with The Arts Commission. The event is completely free to attend, and all activities are included at no cost—though food and books are available for purchase if you'd like to support local vendors. Families of all ages are welcome to enjoy this afternoon celebration of Ohio's literary community.
