Artist Talk: Doug Fath Finding Home

Artist Doug Fath will discuss his new exhibition at Kim Storage Gallery during an artist talk on Saturday, November 14th at 1:00 PM. The show, titled "Finding Home," features a collection of glowing landscape paintings that blend surrealist imagery with vibrant color and symbolically charged animals. Fath's work draws inspiration from Mexican surrealist painters, particularly Frida Kahlo, Leonora Carrington, and Remedios Varo, and explores themes of personal meaning, myth, and the search for home within oneself. If you'd like to meet the artist in person, an opening reception takes place the evening before (Friday, November 13th from 5 to 7 PM) and is free and open to the public. Fath's paintings function as open-ended visual stories, intentionally leaving room for viewers to find their own meaning rather than imposing a single interpretation. This is a wonderful opportunity for art lovers and families interested in contemporary surrealist work to engage directly with the artist and learn more about his creative process.
