Authors! with Jacqueline Friedland
Meet author Jacqueline Friedland at Main Library for a reading and Q&A.
Bestselling author Jacqueline Friedland will visit the Main Library to discuss her novel *Breathing Under Water*, a story about an unlikely friendship between a school administrator and a college swimmer whose lives intersect through a swim class for autistic children. The evening includes a 45-minute presentation where Friedland will share what inspired the book, her journey from practicing law to becoming a full-time writer, and her approach to creating complex, authentic characters. She'll also answer questions from the audience, and each ticket includes a copy of the book to take home.
The event runs one hour total, with general admission seating beginning at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available online only through Eventbrite. The library offers free underground parking with an entrance on Adams Street. If you need accessibility accommodations like handicapped seating or an ASL interpreter, contact the library at least one to two weeks ahead. After her talk, Friedland will be available for a brief book signing. Please note that outside food and beverages aren't permitted, and no video recording or flash photography is allowed.
