Authors! with Susan Zurenda
Meet author Susan Zurenda at Toledo Library—inspiring for young readers.
Join the Toledo Lucas County Public Library's Authors! series for an evening with novelist Susan Zurenda as she discusses her third novel, *No Way Out but Through*. This moving presentation explores themes of resilience, vulnerability, and survival through a dual-narrative story set in South Carolina and rural Oklahoma. Zurenda will share insights into her research process, including conversations with a survivor of child marriage, and discuss the empathy required to tell such an important story authentically.
The evening runs about an hour, with Zurenda speaking for 45 minutes followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience. Every ticket includes a first-edition hardcover copy of the book to take home. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general admission seating. The library offers free underground parking on Adams Street. Accessibility accommodations are available—contact the library at least one week ahead for handicapped seating or two weeks ahead if you need an ASL interpreter. After the presentation, Zurenda will be available for a limited book signing. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite only.
