Award Winning Children’s Book Author Grace Lin

Meet children's book author Grace Lin at this interactive library event designed for young readers in kindergarten through fifth grade. During the hour-long session, Grace will explore the theme "Are your Books Real?" with families, offering insight into her creative process and what inspires her award-winning stories. Kids will have the chance to engage directly with the author and learn what goes into bringing beloved characters to life on the page. Copies of select Grace Lin titles will be available to take home, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis—a nice bonus for families attending. This is a great opportunity for elementary-aged children who love reading to connect with an accomplished author in an accessible, welcoming setting at the library.
