Barnyard Buddies: Chickens!

Your little ones will get hands-on time with farm animals during this outing designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 1–4. The session starts with a story and interactive learning materials, followed by a craft or activity that ties into the day's farm theme. Afterward, you'll take a short guided walk with your child to explore the theme in more depth. Weather permitting, the program wraps up with free playtime at the Farm Playscape where kids can enjoy unstructured fun. Program fees ($10 per non-member child, $5 per non-member adult; discounts available for members) include general admission to the full Nature Center, so you can extend your visit by exploring the main facility's animals, trails, and play areas. Come dressed for outdoor conditions—the barn itself is unheated and drafty. Note that bathrooms aren't available at the farm, so plan accordingly. Pre-registration is required and closes at noon the day before the program. Older siblings are welcome but may find the pace geared toward younger children.
