Be a Summer Read VolunTEEN

Interested in giving back this summer? The Summer Read VolunTEEN program invites teens ages 13 through high school graduation to become part of the library team. This meaningful volunteer opportunity requires participants to create an online volunteer account and attend a mandatory two-hour training session, where you'll learn library policies, available roles, and receive a free VolunTEEN t-shirt upon completion. As a VolunTEEN, you'll support children and families by leading activities and crafts, playing games, reading aloud, organizing shelves, and helping with program setup. Your responsibilities will vary based on what the library needs. This is ideal for teens looking to develop leadership skills, gain volunteer experience, and make a real difference in their community. Early registration is encouraged, as training sessions fill up quickly.
