Bees & Blooms

A naturalist will lead your family on an outdoor exploration focused on observing queen bees at work and spotting the season's first flowering plants. You'll learn how spring's arrival influences pollinators and their behavior in nature. This guided program offers a hands-on way to understand the connection between blooming plants and the insects that depend on them. This program welcomes adults, teens, and seniors and takes place at Sand Run Metro Park. The outing runs for about an hour and a half, giving you plenty of time to observe spring's awakening in the natural world. If you have questions before attending, the Nature Realm Visitors Center staff can help—they're available Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Just call 330-865-8065.
