Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle
Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle at Bowling Green State University
This university theater production follows one woman's life across a full century, beginning with her reflections on her 17th birthday and continuing through her 18th, 41st, 70th, and 101st years. The play weaves together the meaningful moments—both joyful and difficult—that shape an ordinary life across five generations, all centered around a single cake baked over the course of a hundred years. The production balances humor with genuine emotion, creating a touching portrait of what it means to live a full life.
Directed by Sara Lipinski Chambers, this show is presented by the Department of Theatre and Film and is open to everyone—families, students, and community members alike.
