Book Buddies Art + Book Club

Your child will spend an hour enjoying books and creativity in a relaxed, social setting. This after-school program combines guided book discussions with hands-on art activities right in the museum galleries. It's designed for kindergarteners through third graders of all reading levels—whether your child is just starting to read or already devouring chapter books, they'll fit right in. The program is led by staff from both Book Harvest and the North Carolina Museum of Art, so kids get support from people who know books and art inside and out. All materials are provided, including copies of the month's featured book available for pickup starting January 6. Parents aren't required to stay; you're welcome to grab coffee at the café, explore the galleries, or use the time as you wish. Registration closes January 20 to give families time to read before the session. Best of all, the program is completely free with registration.
