Bots & Bolts
Hands-on robotics & automation exhibits at Discovery World with interactive demos and mini rover activities.
Bots & Bolts is a hands-on robotics experience where kids can explore how automation and engineering work in the real world. Throughout Discovery World, you'll encounter several interactive stations: build and program modular robot blocks called Cubelets, design paths for Tracer Bots to follow using optical sensors, and take control of programmable Spheros. You'll also get to see mini rovers from Lunabotics and meet innovators from local robotics teams, learning how their work solves challenges both on Earth and in space. For a creative break, head to the Doodle Studio to make robot-inspired art.
To make the most of your visit, grab a robotics-themed scavenger hunt at the front desk and search the museum for examples of robots and automation in action. This experience works well for curious kids of all ages who enjoy hands-on learning and problem-solving. All activities are included with museum admission—just pick up your scavenger hunt sheet as you explore, and let your kids experiment with the different stations at their own pace.
