Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents Three Sisters: Haudenosaunee Science & Culture

Explore Haudenosaunee culture, science & traditions through objects & stories.

Learn about the living cultures of the Haudenosaunee nations—the Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora peoples—and discover how they understand and interact with the natural world. This presentation from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History invites families to explore authentic tools and handcrafted objects while learning about the beliefs and traditions that connect these six nations. This 45-minute program works well for elementary-aged children and offers a meaningful introduction to Native American history and culture beyond typical textbook lessons. You'll get to examine real artifacts up close and gain insight into what unites these communities. It's free to attend, and the library location is easily accessible. For details or to register, contact the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at 412-622-3114 or info@carnegielibrary.org.
