Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents Three Sisters: Haudenosaunee Science &Culture
Explore Haudenosaunee culture, science & traditions through objects & stories.
Your child will have the chance to learn about the living cultures of the Haudenosaunee people during this 45-minute presentation from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. The program explores how the Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, Mohawk, and Tuscarora nations connect with the natural world, sharing common themes and distinct beliefs across these six nations. Kids will examine real tools and handcrafted objects up close to better understand these traditions and perspectives.
This program works well for elementary-aged children in grades K–5. The session will be held in Classroom A at the library's main location. For more information or to register, you can reach the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh at 412-622-3114 or email info@carnegielibrary.org.
