Cookbook Club

Cookbook Club at CLP – Main (Oakland)

The Carnegie Library is launching a new cookbook club where adults can gather to discuss culinary books, share cultural stories, and celebrate food traditions together. This November meeting will focus on *Rooted in Fire* by Pyet DeSpain, tying into the library's Native American & Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month programming. The book is available to borrow from the library's catalog or as an eBook through Hoopla, so you can read ahead before the discussion. The one-hour gathering takes place in the Oversized Books Room on the second floor of the main library. It's a straightforward way to connect with other food enthusiasts while exploring diverse culinary perspectives and stories. If you're interested in joining, you can contact the library directly at 412-622-3114 or email info@carnegielibrary.org for any questions.
