Create a Catrina Mask

Join this hands-on art activity where kids will design their own masks inspired by La Calavera Catrina, the iconic skeleton figure from Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration. Participants will paint their masks and then embellish them with flowers and other decorative details to create a finished wearable piece. This is a great introduction to cultural art traditions, and kids will leave with a colorful mask they've created themselves. The program runs for one hour and is designed for children ages 6 to 10. It takes place at the Lagrange Library's meeting room, which is handicapped accessible. There are currently 25 seats available, so registration is recommended to secure your spot.
