Create a Catrina Mask
Create a decorative Catrina mask and learn about Día de Muertos tradition.
Get creative at this hands-on mask-making workshop! Kids will paint their own La Calavera Catrina mask—inspired by the iconic sugar skull imagery associated with Day of the Dead celebrations. Participants will decorate their masks with flowers and other decorative touches, walking away with a festive, wearable art piece.
This one-hour program is designed for children ages 6 to 10 and is hosted by the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center. Space is limited with 25 seats currently available, so register ahead to secure your child's spot. The activity takes place in Kent Library's Meeting Room B.
