Currents of Change: The Living History of the Great Lakes
Living history exhibit bringing Great Lakes culture to life.
Explore how people and the Great Lakes have shaped each other over centuries at this temporary exhibit running through mid-October. The "Currents of Change" experience takes you on a journey from the beaver-driven economies of early Great Lakes history through to today's environmental challenges like invasive species and algae blooms. You'll discover the turning points that transformed our region and learn about the ongoing efforts in science, conservation, and community work that are helping protect these vital freshwaters for the future.
This immersive exhibit is included with your regular museum admission and set up in the Temporary Exhibit Gallery, making it an easy addition to your visit. It's a great way to help kids and adults alike understand the dynamic relationship between our community and the Great Lakes—one of North America's most precious natural resources. The museum itself offers plenty to explore, from historic ships you can tour (seasonally) to interactive exhibits that bring regional history to life.
