Cyanotype Prints

Create sun-print art using the cyanotype photography technique.

Join us for an afternoon of sun-powered creativity! Cyanotype printing is a straightforward and engaging art technique that lets kids make one-of-a-kind prints by harnessing the energy of sunlight. During this session, participants will work with paper, everyday objects, and natural light to design their own unique artwork. It's a hands-on way to explore how simple materials and sunshine combine to create something special. This program is designed for children ages 6 to 10 and takes place at the Oregon Library. The activity runs for one hour, giving kids plenty of time to experiment with the technique and take home their creations. It's a great introduction to a classic art process that feels almost like magic when you see the results develop.
