Cyanotype Prints

Your child will have a chance to explore a classic printmaking technique that harnesses the sun's energy to create one-of-a-kind artwork. Cyanotype printing is an accessible craft that uses simple materials—objects, paper, and sunlight—to produce striking blue designs. It's a hands-on activity that's straightforward enough for beginners yet creative and engaging. This program is designed for kids ages 6 to 10 and takes place at the South Library's meeting room, which accommodates up to 40 participants. The session runs for one hour, giving children time to experiment with the technique and take home their finished prints. It's a wonderful introduction to art and science combined, perfect for curious kids who enjoy making things with their hands.
