Día de los Muertos
Celebrate Día de los Muertos at Adventure Science Center with cultural traditions and hands-on activities.
Your family is invited to celebrate Día de los Muertos at the museum! From 10am to 1pm, costumed performers dressed as Catrinas and Catrines—the iconic, elegantly dressed skeleton figures central to this tradition—will stroll through the space sharing Mexican candies with visitors and performing traditional cultural dances. These beloved symbols represent a joyful way of honoring loved ones who have passed.
Kids can get creative in the Makerspace by making their own sugar skull planters, a hands-on way to engage with the holiday's artistic traditions. The best part? This celebration is included with your general admission ticket, so there's no extra cost to participate. It's a meaningful way to explore a rich cultural tradition while enjoying interactive activities together.
