Discovery Time: Weather – Frick Environmental Center

Your family is invited to an afternoon of hands-on weather exploration at the Frick Environmental Center classroom. During the two-hour window, kids can dive into activities like creating rain paintings and experimenting with wind effects. It's a casual drop-in style event, so you can arrive anytime that works for your schedule and spend as much time as you'd like exploring these interactive projects. The Frick Environmental Center is a free, accessible facility nestled as a gateway to Frick Park. Registration is required to attend. Note that photos may be taken during the event, and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy requests that you let staff know if you prefer not to be photographed. If you need to cancel, contact the center at 412-586-4576 or ltran@pittsburghparks.org. For questions about accessibility accommodations, reach out to Danielle Garner at DGarner@pittsburghparks.org or the same phone number.
