“Do NASA Science” Celebrating America 250

Explore hands-on NASA science & space discovery at Main Library.

Your teen can experience what it's like to think like a scientist at this hour-long program at the Main Library. Led by Marcia K. Culp, a Solar System Ambassador, this event invites young people to explore how everyday individuals contribute to major scientific discoveries. Whether your child is fascinated by space, technology, nature, or creative problem-solving, this hands-on session offers a chance to engage with real-world NASA science concepts. Designed for teens ages 11–17, this is a perfect fit if your young person enjoys learning about how scientific breakthroughs happen and wants to see themselves as a potential contributor to future discoveries. The program runs for one hour and takes place in the Teen Space area of the library. No prior science background is needed—just bring curiosity and a willingness to think through challenges like a working scientist would.
