Eerie Manor Programs
Ghostly guided tours through a historic manor house all October—a spooky seasonal tradition.
Bring your family to the Manor House at Wildwood Preserve for spooky seasonal fun during late October. This free, all-ages event features over 30 creatively decorated rooms throughout the house. The first floor is designed to welcome everyone, while the second floor and basement include some mild scares and theatrical effects—so consider your children's comfort levels before heading upstairs. Costumes are welcome, though this isn't a candy-collecting event. No registration is needed; just drop in between 2 and 8 p.m. any day from October 23 through 31.
If your family wants an extra thrill, Metroparks also offers a separate "Lights Out" flashlight tour for ages 12 and up on select evenings at 9 p.m., 9:15 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. This guided experience costs $8 per person, requires advance registration, and delivers a darker, more intense adventure—most lights are turned off, so decorations won't be visible. Kids must have an adult with them throughout. For accessibility accommodations or questions, contact Metroparks at 419-407-9700.
