Election Day @ The Library

Election Day @ The Library

Building-wide celebration of democracy with interactive activities, a classic film screening, and refreshments for all ages.

Join the library for a day celebrating civic participation through hands-on activities spread throughout the building. Families can enjoy interactive stations tailored to different ages—younger kids can color and vote on their favorite animal, while teens can explore paid opportunities for civic involvement through Youth Democracy Works. Adults can attend a crash course on running for local office, participate in pizza voting, or simply unwind with coffee and conversation. Throughout the day, you'll find opportunities to make buttons, design zines, explore historic election images, play music, work on puzzles, and more. A classic film screening and refreshments are also part of the experience. This is a welcoming way to engage with democracy at your own pace, whether you want to dive deep into learning or simply enjoy the creative activities. The event runs all day, so you can drop in whenever works for your family's schedule. Note that while the library is hosting this celebration, it's not serving as a polling location itself—the library website has information about where to vote in your area.
