Exploring Simple Machines
Discover how levers, pulleys, and ramps work through hands-on exploration.
Kids in grades 3–6 are invited to explore the world of simple machines at this free hands-on program. You'll learn how everyday devices work by discovering the basic machines that make up everything from bikes to bridges. Best of all, each child gets to build their own gizmo to take home, putting their new knowledge into action right away.
This is a great choice for elementary-aged learners who enjoy tinkering and understanding how things work. Younger children can attend with a parent's support if needed. The session runs 90 minutes, giving kids plenty of time to learn and create without feeling rushed.
