Fall is for Planting: A Native Plant Garden Tour – CANCELLED

Join experts from the Library of North Carolina's Government and Heritage Library and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for a guided walk through native plant gardens. You'll discover why autumn is the perfect season to plant native species in North Carolina and explore two beautiful garden spaces: the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources' Native Plant Meadow and the museum's own Native Plant Garden. The tour covers about half a mile round-trip on paved sidewalks, so it's accessible for most mobility levels. This outdoor experience is ideal for anyone interested in gardening, native plants, or learning more about what grows well in our region. The walk runs for two hours in the morning, giving you plenty of time to ask questions and get practical tips you can use in your own yard. Registration is required, so be sure to sign up in advance through the museum's website.
