Family Art: Tie Dyeing ~ Merry & Bright
Family tie-dye workshop at The 577 Foundation—design festive holiday shirts together.
Bring home a one-of-a-kind holiday shirt in this hands-on family class led by tie-dye artist Michelle Fisher. You and your child (or two children) will each design and create your own T-shirt using festive red and green dyes while learning the fundamentals of pattern folding, color placement, and dye application. All supplies are included—just let the studio know your shirt size when you register. You'll leave with your damp shirt sealed in a bag, complete with rinse-out instructions and detergent to keep the colors vibrant.
This class works best for families with children ages 7 to 17, paired with one adult. One registration covers either one adult and one child or one adult and two children. Come ready to get a little messy and have fun creating together. Michelle, who specializes in hand-dyed textiles through her business Clearly Weird, makes creativity accessible regardless of your experience level. The small class size means a more personal learning experience, so registration is limited.
