Family Campout in Murfreesboro

Your family can experience the joy of camping with the support of park staff to make it manageable for everyone. The adventure begins with an easy one-mile hike into the campground at the Wilderness Station. Once you arrive, trained staff members are there to help you get your tent set up and comfortable. Throughout the evening and night, you'll have the option to join planned activities—think guided night hikes and campfire gatherings—or simply relax under the stars. Both dinner and breakfast are included, so you won't need to worry about meal prep. This overnight experience works well for families with children ages four and up, though younger children get in free. Pricing is $10 for teens and adults (13+), $5 for children ages 5–12, and free for kids 4 and under. To join in, you'll need to register online. For specific questions about what to bring or how the event works, you can reach out to Ethan by phone at 615-642-1103.
