Family Pottery: Haunted Wall Hangings (7-17/18+)

Bring your child to create Halloween décor that will last for years to come. You and your young artist will work together at the pottery wheel to craft one or two haunted house wall hangings. Starting with a pre-rolled clay slab and a template, you'll cut out the house shape, smooth the edges, and then let creativity take over. Add windows, doors, ghosts, pumpkins, bats, spooky trees—whatever makes your haunted house special. Alison Buchanan, the pottery coordinator, will guide you through each step of the process. After you finish decorating your pieces with colorful underglazes, the studio staff handles the rest. Your wall hangings will be professionally fired and glazed, then the studio will email you when they're ready to pick up. This is a perfect activity for the school closure day, and homeschool families are welcome too. Each session pairs one youth (ages 7–17) with one adult (18+). The cost is $48 per pair.
