Family Studio: Guerilla Mural Making

Join us for a hands-on two-hour workshop where families explore contemporary street art and create together. You'll start by looking at original artworks on display, then work with a teaching artist to develop your own ideas. Inspired by the current Banksy x Basquiat exhibition, you'll combine several techniques—printing using textures found around the Museum's campus, collage, and painting—to build a large, colorful mural as a group. Each family takes home their collaborative creation. This workshop is designed for children ages 5 through 11 and their grown-ups. General admission tickets are $15 per person, with a discounted rate of $12 for Museum members. No special experience needed—just bring your creativity and willingness to make a mess in the best way possible.
