Free Trails Day at Riveredge Nature Center

Bring your family out for a day of free outdoor exploration at Riveredge Nature Center. On this special day, admission is waived so you can discover over 10 miles of trails winding through forests, prairies, and natural habitats. You're welcome to explore at your own pace—grab a trail map at the Visitor Center and set out on whatever route appeals to your family. Whether you're experienced hikers or just looking for a casual nature walk, there's something for everyone. If you'd like some guidance, join the complimentary Welcome Hike at 11:00 AM for an introduction to the area and tips on popular spots to visit. No registration is needed for the day itself—just show up and enjoy. This is a great opportunity for families of all ages to get outside and experience the natural areas Riveredge has to offer without worrying about entrance costs.
