GardenView U-Pick Flowers

Spend a summer day picking your own fresh flowers at GardenView's U-Pick garden in Grand Rapids. When you arrive, you'll check in at their shop, grab clippers and a container (bring your own Ball quart-size mason jar or purchase a vase for $2), and head into the fields to cut blooms. With over 60 varieties planted—everything from zinnias and sunflowers to gladiolus and snapdragons—you can create a beautiful custom bouquet to take home. The whole experience costs $16 per person and includes a complimentary bottle of water. All clippers are sanitized between uses, and you'll return them when finished. This works wonderfully for families with kids of all ages, though children need adult supervision and the sandy, bumpy garden paths might be challenging for strollers or wheelchairs. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty, and bring sunscreen and a hat. Leashed dogs are welcome too.
