GardenView U-Pick Flowers
Pick your own flowers at GardenView in Grand Rapids.
At this summer flower farm activity, families can head out into the garden and cut their own fresh bouquets to take home. When you arrive, you'll check in at the flower shop, grab clippers and a container (bring your own Ball mason jar or purchase a vase for $2), fill it with water, and spend time selecting from over 60 varieties of blooms—think zinnias, snapdragons, sunflowers, and gladiolus. The $16 experience includes a complimentary bottle of water, and clippers are provided and sanitized between uses. Kids of all ages are welcome as long as they're supervised by an adult.
Expect a real garden setting, so wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a little dirty or damp, and bring sunscreen and a hat. The garden terrain is bumpy, which may make strollers or wheelchairs challenging to navigate. Leashed dogs are welcome too. You'll find plenty of photo spots throughout the field, including under a garden arch and morning glory canopy—perfect for capturing memories. The farm accepts cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards (with a small processing fee), and you can also buy pre-picked bouquets at their flower stop if you prefer.
