GardenView U-Pick Flowers

Spend a summer afternoon picking your own fresh flowers at GardenView's u-pick garden in Grand Rapids. When you arrive, you'll check in at their In Season shop, grab clippers and a mason jar or vase filled with water, then head out to fill it with blooms from over 60 varieties planted throughout the field. Think zinnias, snapdragons, gladiolus, sunflowers, and more—the selection changes as the season progresses, so each visit feels different. It costs $16 per person, and one complimentary bottle of water is included. All clippers are sanitized between uses for safety. This is a wonderfully tactile activity for families with kids of all ages (children must be supervised by an adult). Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty, bring sunscreen and a hat, and be ready for a bumpy garden terrain—strollers and wheelchairs may be challenging to navigate. You can pay with cash, check, Venmo, or credit card (small processing fee applies). The garden also offers plenty of photo opportunities, including a special arch and morning glory canopy, making it a great memory-maker before you head home with your homemade bouquet.
