Germantown Christmas Parade Festival & Tree Lighting

Ring in the holiday season with your family at this beloved Germantown tradition. The day features a festive parade kicking off at 1:30 PM, followed by activities throughout Fireman's Park. You'll find photo opportunities with Santa and costumed characters, a chance to get your child's picture in a custom Merry Christmas frame, and kids' IDs from the Germantown Police Department. Food vendors offer everything from cookies and chili to mini donuts and cheese curds (most items available for cash, some accept cards). A special highlight is the Candy Land Adventure with stops throughout the park, plus a visit from the Weinermobile. As the afternoon winds down, Germantown High School carolers will perform by the Christmas tree, building up to the official tree lighting at approximately 4:30 PM. This tradition, running since 1989, marks a meaningful moment for the community. The entire event is free to attend, making it an accessible way to celebrate with neighbors before the rush of the season begins. The parade route travels through several streets before concluding at the park, so plan your arrival accordingly.
