Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Spooky ghost tours at Andrew Jackson's historic Hermitage estate.

Step into the history and mystery of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage after dark. These evening walking tours combine ghost stories, folklore, and historical facts about the mansion, grounds, family cemetery, and the life of Jackson himself. Guides lead guests on lantern-lit journeys through the property, sharing tales of tragedy and unexplained events while teaching visitors about death rituals, mourning customs, and superstitions from the late-Regency and early-Victorian periods. Each tour lasts about an hour and a half, and tickets are $55 for members and $60 for non-members. Tours run rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Before heading out, guests can grab a bite at Andrew & Rachel's Café, which offers themed food and drinks to build the spooky atmosphere. Tours are capped at 42 tickets per night to keep the experience intimate, so advance purchasing is important since they sell out quickly. Keep in mind that tickets are non-refundable once bought. This experience works well for older kids and adults who enjoy history with a bit of theatrical flair, offering a unique after-hours perspective on Tennessee's most historic home.
