Grooves & Ghouls - Painting Vinyl Records

Your child can join an afternoon of creative fun this Halloween season by painting recycled vinyl records into custom works of art. Kids ages 8 to 14 will have the chance to experiment with paint, stencils, and their own designs—whether that means spooky silhouettes, celestial patterns, favorite song lyrics, autumn imagery, or any other vision they dream up. The finished records make great decorations and keepsakes from a quirky craft session. This program takes place at the library's Montpelier location and lasts 90 minutes. Registration is required, and spots are limited to 4 participants, so sign up soon if you're interested. Parents should know that the activity involves some electrical and heated tools, but trained staff will provide safety equipment and supervision. If you have questions about the program or need to discuss any accessibility needs, reach out to the library directly.
