Inclusive Storytime for Adults and Teens

Inclusive Storytime for Adults and Teens

This interactive storytime welcomes adults and teens of all abilities to enjoy stories, music, and movement together. The program is specifically designed to be welcoming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their support persons—everyone is encouraged to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. The hour-long session includes reading, music, and movement activities in a relaxed, inclusive setting. The event takes place in an accessible first-floor meeting space with automatic doors. If you'll be attending with someone who needs support, both of you should register. The library asks for a minimum ratio of one staff person per six participants. If you need specific accommodations, contact Public Services at 419-259-5293 at least two weeks ahead. This program is currently at capacity, so check availability before planning to attend.
