Independence Day 1813

Step back in time this July 4th at Fort Meigs as we celebrate the way soldiers did in 1813. During the War of 1812, the fort's garrison marked Independence Day with cannon fire and festivities—and we're recreating that historic celebration for your family. You'll experience live weapons demonstrations, hear period music performances, and participate in civilian activities that bring this moment to life. It's a wonderful way to connect with local history while enjoying a meaningful Fourth of July tradition. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $7 for children ages 6–18, with free entry for children 5 and under plus Ohio History Connection members and annual pass holders.
