Intergenerational playgroups

Regular playgroups for babies and toddlers at Hartland Terrace—free social playtime.

Bring your child to connect with older adults at Hartland Terrace in a relaxed, welcoming environment designed for meaningful interaction across generations. These monthly playgroups run through December and feature a structured format that includes a hello song, simple craft, themed activity, free play, and goodbye song. Your little one will have chances to build social skills, learn patience and respect, and discover how joy spreads naturally when people of different ages spend time together. The residents genuinely light up with the energy and smiles children bring, and regular attendance helps both kids and residents become familiar faces who look forward to seeing each other. The program is free and open to all ages—just bring your openness and creativity. Sessions run from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. on four dates between September and December. If you'd like to extend the experience, the Lake Country Mom Movement offers a coffee meetup beforehand and a short walk to and from the facility, giving you a chance to connect with other caregivers. Registration is encouraged for the full session so residents can build relationships with familiar participants, though you can note which dates work for you. Questions? Contact brianna@kicmke.org.
