Kids Homeschool Book Club

Your child is invited to join a monthly book club designed specifically for homeschoolers. During this one-hour gathering, kids dive into a selected book together, engage in meaningful discussion, and participate in a hands-on activity. This September's selection is *Matilda* by Roald Dahl—a classic tale about a brilliant girl who uses her extraordinary abilities to stand up to an unkind headmistress and help her beloved teacher. Copies of the book are available to borrow from the Children's Library starting in August, or you can request one for pickup at a different library location. The group meets at the Main Library's Creativity Lab on the second floor and welcomes children ages 6–10. This is a welcoming space where young readers can share their thoughts, make connections with other homeschooling families, and enjoy a creative activity tied to the story. It's a great way to encourage a love of reading while building community with families in the area.
