Kidsville at The Parthenon

Listen to a story then make art at Kidsville, a free family program at The Parthenon.

Kidsville at the Parthenon brings stories and creativity to life on Saturday mornings in November. Families arrive between 10:30 and 11:20 AM to enjoy free Parthenon admission for everyone, including kids 12 and under. Kids explore hands-on activity and craft stations upstairs at their own pace, then gather at 11:00 AM in front of the Athena statue for storytelling or special performances. Each week features a different theme: one session explores a picture book with Imagination Library, another tells the folk tale of Stone Soup with a collaborative art project, and a third introduces contemporary classical music with Nashville's Intersection Music Group. The program wraps up by 11:45 AM, making it perfect for a manageable Saturday morning outing. Registration is required and strongly recommended online in advance to skip check-in lines, though you can also register in the lobby starting at 10:30 AM. Just note that backpacks and large bags aren't permitted inside the Parthenon. This is a shared space with other museum visitors, so families should plan accordingly.
