Lane Motor Museum Vault Tours

Behind the scenes at Lane Motor Museum lies a collection of over 550 vehicles—far more than can fit on the main floor. Vault Tours give families a chance to explore these hidden gems stored downstairs. During this roughly 45-minute guided experience, you'll see cars and motorcycles that rotate in and out of the regular exhibit. Tours run most weekends at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., with groups gathering near the brochure display in the main exhibit area. Please arrive about 5 minutes early, as tours start promptly. Photography is welcome, and you're free to capture whatever catches your eye. The vault tour adds $10 per person to your regular museum admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the admissions counter (groups are capped at 30 people). One important note: accessing the vault requires descending a long, steep staircase. If stairs aren't accessible for your family, let staff know—they can arrange for you to enter through a back door instead, though you'll need to walk or drive around to the building's rear. Inside the vault, stay within the yellow lines, as the floor can be slippery from oil and grease.
