Learn How to Play Lotería

Join us for an introduction to lotería, a classic Mexican card game that works much like bingo. This is a great way to celebrate Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month while learning a game with deep cultural roots. Teens are invited to come discover the rules, traditions, and fun of this beloved pastime in a welcoming group setting. The program runs for one hour and takes place in the library's meeting room, which is handicapped accessible. This activity is designed with teens in mind, making it perfect for middle and high school–aged participants who want to try something new and connect with cultural traditions. It's a casual, games-focused event where you can learn at your own pace while having fun with peers.
