Library Constitution
Civics program bringing the U.S. Constitution to life for kids at Heatherdowns Library.
Curious about how rules get made? This program invites teens to explore what a constitution actually is and discover the collaborative process behind creating rules that work for everyone. Participants will learn the basics of constitutional principles while engaging in hands-on activities that show why teamwork and compromise matter when establishing guidelines.
The one-hour session takes place in Meeting Room C at Heatherdowns Library, with space for up to 20 young people. It's designed specifically for teens ages 11 to 17 who are interested in civics, government, or simply want to understand how communities organize themselves. This is a great opportunity for middle and high schoolers to explore these ideas in a casual, interactive setting at the library.
