LibraryCon!

LibraryCon returns for its third year as a celebration of pop culture, comics, gaming, and creativity for the whole family. Whether your kids want to suit up as their favorite characters (costumes encouraged but optional), try hands-on workshops, or simply explore what's happening throughout the day, there's genuinely something for every interest level. Highlights include photo ops with Star Wars characters, an EVA foam cosplay workshop with supplies included, comic-making instruction, live music spanning anime and video game soundtracks, trivia competitions, board games, and a video game truck. The scavenger hunt offers a chance to win prizes, and a special bookstore sale rounds out the shopping opportunities. For those looking to dive deeper, skilled workshops fill the schedule—learn manga illustration techniques from visiting artist Misako Rocks, create enamel beads, or discover comic-drawing fundamentals. Families can also browse artist vendors, connect with local community groups, or support the blood drive (which rewards donors with library swag and a free book). Some activities require advance registration, so check the library's blog for the complete schedule and to sign up for sessions that interest your family most.
